For nursing-home groups

Your teams arrive. All of them.

Some of your care staff have neither a car nor a licence — and at the hours your teams work, the buses do not run. RijdSamen organises carpooling between verified colleagues from the same nursing home.

  • Colleagues verified by the employer
  • Data hosted in the EU
  • No commitment

The evidence

The commute is on no line of your budget.

It shows up elsewhere: in the late starts, the last-minute cover, and the resignation you did not see coming. Here is what the Belgian public figures say.

A nursing home’s half-empty staff car park on a rainy morning: a few cars, each one arrived separately.
  • 61.4%

of workers at large Belgian employers drive to work alone.

  • 1 in 6

  • 37.3%

Empty seats on the road, at precisely the hours no bus runs. And a sector with no slack: nurse and care assistant appear on the shortage-occupation / critical-function lists of all three regional employment services — VDAB, Le Forem and Actiris (2026 lists).

RijdSamen does not invent journeys. It fills the ones already being driven.

The product

Two tools. One subscription.

Your teams get an app. You get the dashboard that runs it.

For your teams

The RijdSamen app

Built for tired care staff: large type, night mode, simple gestures. One account — publishing a ride or joining one takes seconds.

  • Publish a ride, one-off or recurring, in a few taps
  • Join a ride from a colleague at the same nursing home
  • Messaging between colleagues and a built-in route
  • French, Dutch and English
For your group

The company dashboard

A web back-office reserved for your managers. You keep control of who belongs to the circle, and of what happens inside it.

  • Overview of activity, by group and by nursing home
  • Manage staff and the “verified colleague” status
  • Groups, branches and served zones
  • Handle reports: warn, suspend, revoke verification
  • Cap on cost sharing
  • Wallet and refunds
A ride in detail: the map with the real road route, the driver marked “verified colleague”, the departure time and the seats left.

What sets us apart

A closed circle. Not a marketplace.

Consumer carpooling apps put your care staff in a car with strangers. RijdSamen cannot, by construction.

  • Nobody gets in without you

Every member is attached to your group and to one specific nursing home, then verified as a real colleague. You grant that verification, and you can revoke it.

  • Everyone sees only their own site

A care assistant in Wavre does not see rides in Namur. The partition is enforced server-side, not merely in the display.

  • Mutual help, not income

The passenger shares costs with the driver, within a limit you cap yourself. No commission is taken, and surge pricing does not exist here.

Depending on who decides

Three readings of the same subscription.

  • Management

    Teams at full strength

When getting to work stops being an obstacle, late starts and avoidable absences fall — and with them the emergency agency cover.

  • Human resources

    An argument at interview

In a recognised shortage occupation, a reliable commute is a concrete benefit to offer, and a reason to stay.

  • CSR & sustainability

    Fewer kilometres

Every shared ride takes a car off your car park. Shared rides and CO₂ avoided are visible in the dashboard.

Rollout

Ready in days, with no hardware.

Site by site, at your own pace.

  1. You confirm your sites

We create your group and its branches. You decide which ones open first.

  2. Your teams download the app

Each care worker joins their site and is verified as a real colleague. Nothing to install on your side.

  3. The first rides appear

A colleague with a car publishes their ride. Another joins it. The circle gets stronger as it grows.

  4. You stay in control

Verifications, reports, the sharing cap: all of it is driven from the dashboard.

Security & privacy

Built for trust, said plainly.

Your teams trust you with their movements. Here, without jargon, is how that data is handled.

Hosted in the European Union

Your group’s and your teams’ data sit on infrastructure located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).

GDPR compliant

Processing complies with the GDPR. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request.

Partitioned by design

A care worker only ever sees their own site. The rule is enforced by the database itself. No data is sold, to anyone, ever.

Every member is verified

Every person in the circle is attached to an employer and a site, then verified as a real colleague — a verification you grant and can revoke.

The model

The group pays. Your care staff never do.

RijdSamen is funded by a subscription the employer carries. Your teams have no subscription, no card to register, and nothing to pay upfront to join a ride.

  • No commission on rides

The cost share paid by the passenger goes to the driver in full. We take nothing on the way through.

  • An annual subscription, at group scale

The amount follows the number of sites opened and the number of staff covered.

  • No hardware, no setup fee

No terminal, no badge, no integration to install. An app and a web login.

  • A pilot before any rollout

We prefer to start with one or two sites. The demo and the pilot carry no commitment.

The exact amount depends on your scope. We put a figure on it during the demo — no hidden rate card, no exit fee.

Our commitment
RijdSamen was born of a simple conviction: nobody should have to give up a career in care because they cannot get there. This is not a transport service, it is colleagues helping each other — and we refuse to turn that into a business on the backs of the people who do the caring.

Frequently asked

What groups ask us.

How are colleagues verified?

Every member is attached to your group and to one specific site, then verified as a real colleague. Verification is granted and revoked from your dashboard. A care worker only sees rides from colleagues at their own site.

Do people have to choose between driver and passenger?

No. There is one account and no mode to switch on. The same person can drive on Monday and ride on Tuesday — the action decides: publish a ride, or join one.

Where is the data hosted?

On infrastructure located in the European Union (Frankfurt), in compliance with the GDPR. No data is sold. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request.

What if one of our sites is small or rural?

The circle works at the level of the site. Even with few drivers, every shared ride counts — and it is precisely in poorly served areas that the gap between having a car and not having one weighs heaviest on your teams.

How much does it cost?

A subscription carried by the group, never by your care staff, with no commission on rides. The amount follows the number of sites and staff covered; we put a figure on it during the demo.

Who controls the amount shared between colleagues?

You do. The dashboard lets you cap cost sharing, so carpooling stays mutual help and never becomes an earner.

Is the app available in French and Dutch?

Yes. RijdSamen is built for Belgium: French and Dutch, with English in addition.

How long does a group rollout take?

A few days per site. No hardware and no installation: your teams download the app and join their circle.

Is there a commitment?

The demo carries no commitment. We prefer a pilot on one or two sites before any wider rollout.
